Sober Living
Woodlake Transitional Living
At Woodlake Transitional Living, we offer our sober living houses and apartments where individuals who have completed our treatment program can stay for additional guidance and support. Many people coming out of rehab may still feel unprepared to rejoin their community which is why offer this housing option.
In one of our sober living homes, residents can continue to live and grow in a supportive recovery community where they go to IOP meetings daily and participate in a 12 step recovery program.
Our sober living apartments are another step towards your recovery process – it provides you with the opportunity for a complete and healthy recovery.
At Woodlake Transitional Living we treat our clients with compassion and respect. We offer access to drug and alcohol treatment, social services, counseling and transitional housing.
Moving into a sober living home after treatment is often the best choice one can make. While you might be concerned about transitional living in a house or apartment with others or the impact it could have on your responsibilities back home, the benefits far outweigh any drawbacks.
Here’s why transitional living is so effective, and how it can help you optimize your mental health and thrive:
- People, Places and Things – Early recovery can be painful and isolating. Recovery housing can fill that void with a safe place, compassionate people (https://www.samhsa.gov/homelessness-programs-resources/hpr-resources/recovery-homes-help-people)
- Less Chance of Relapse – peer-run, recovery-oriented housing offers safe, alcohol- and drug-free environments that afford people in recovery to surround themselves with other people who are in recovery as well.
- People who are Newly Sober – a sober living home can provide time and support as they learn how to sustain long-term recovery. By providing support, our clients transition towards living independent and productive lives.
